Charles Coiner (1898–1989) was an acclaimed painter and art director for advertising agency A.W. Ayer & Son. As a designer of war posters, civilian defense logos, and the Blue Eagle symbol of the National Recovery Administration under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Coiner's influence extended well beyond the world of commerce. Read more here.
